MAMMOTH SPRING -- Three Mammoth Spring teenagers were injured, one seriously, Sept. 6 on Stateline Road one-mile south of Thayer.
According to Trooper Albert Jones with the Missouri State Police who investigated the accident, the driver of a 1998 Cadillac, Addison Kent, 16, was seriously injured when the car he was driving ran off the road and struck a tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt. He was flown by air to St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
There were two passengers in the Kent vehicle. Austin Hite, 15, who was wearing a seatbelt, received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) in West Plains. The other passenger, Loren Hite, 16, received minor injuries in the accident and was also taken by ambulance to OMC.
Trooper Jones reported the accident occurred at 11:40 p.m.
