The Horseshoe Bend Police Department is currently investigating vandalism to property on North Shore, Pleasant Valley and Sleepy Hollow. On the night of Saturday, Sept. 6 or morning of Sept. 7, vandals splashed paint on street signs, mailboxes and a pickup-truck in the North Shore area. No arrests have been made.
On Sept. 11, the Horseshoe Bend Police Department received a report of 113 gallons of diesel fuel was missing from the tanks at the MRID maintenance facility. The police department is currently investigating the problem.
Ashley King, 39, of Mountain Home, was charged with possession of a controlled substance Sept. 11. King was charged after a traffic stop in which it was discovered that she had an outstanding warrant for a violation of Arkansas hot Check Law in Baxter County. King posted bond and was released the same day.
