Betty Jo McGuffee, 81, daughter of the late Clyde Eugene Brown and Edna Jane Wells Brown, was born March 7, 1927, in Mountain Home, Ark. She died Sept. 9, 2008, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark.
She was united in marriage to Vernon McGuffee in 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
Survivors include: her children, Jane Turner, Judy Herron and husband, Billy Don and Susan Willis, all of Salem; her grandchildren, Carla Osborn, Jerry Butler, Bradley Herron, Christal Herron and Eric and Sean Willis; 10 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; a son, Monty Maguffee; a grandson, Bryan Ray; a son-in-law, Linwood Willis; sisters, Gladys Hall and Edith McCullough; her brother, Robert Brown; and her father and mother.
Funeral services were held Sept. 12 at the Cox-Blevins Chapel with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
