In a double ring ceremony solemnized Saturday, June 28, at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, Sarah Elizabeth Still became the bride of Brett Austin Strobbe.
The bride is the daughter of Cathy Lee Still of Jonesboro and Mr. Kevin Lee Still of Steele, Mo. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles C. Brock Jr. and the late Dr. Brock and of Mrs. Paul D. Still and the late Mr. Still.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Alan Strobbe of Cherokee Viilage. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Les Nichols, the late Mr. Ralph Strobbe and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth King.
The Rev. John Miles II, senior pastor, performed the ceremony.
Nuptial music was presented by Robert Donner, organist, Sean Pollock, pianist and vocalist, Grant Harbison, trumpeter, and Miss Tiffany Orr and Mrs. Cynthia Paul, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an original designer gown, "Ophelia," by Elizabeth Fillmore. The ivory tulle gown was fashioned by an empire, strapless bodice with a sweetheart neckline. The gown was trimmed with feathers and chiffon, which also continued down the chapel-length train. Her bubble veil of tulle was accented with feathers and chiffon. She carried a European clutch bouquet of gardenias, dendrobium orchids, cream colored vendela roses and white stephanotis tied with a cream colored satin ribbon and accented by her great-grandmother's Bible carried by the women in her family.
Lindsay Leigh Still was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Nicole Poynor, Casey Erin Woodruff, Anna Claire White, Olivia Clark Nicholson, Lauren Ashley Dowless, Emily June Ballard and Kathryn McMorries Heller. They wore floor- length gowns by Ban Jay fashioned of ivory chiffon with accents of black at the shoulders and waistlines and carried European clutch bouquets of white roses and gardenias.
Landon Chase Strobbe and Cody Andrew Brown served as best men. Groomsmen were Jason Lee Strobbe, Basher Channing Green, Nathan Scott Duncan, Jeffrey Scott McKnight, Aaron Patrick Culver and Joe Scott McEntire. Ushers were Adam Gibbon Carter, Donovan Joseph Cherry, Aaron Thomas Curry, Christopher Scott Clayton, Taylor Lee Duncan, Thomas Scott Gairhan, Kolby Carver King, Preston Joel King and David George Warren.
The bride's parents hosted the wedding reception, which followed at the Jonesboro Country Club.
Members of the House- party were Jerri Denise Harris, Lauren Taylor Harris, Allyson Brooke Sample and Kassandra Leanne Woodard.
The bride graduated from Arkansas State University in 2007 with a degree in business and marketing. She is employed by Steam Roller Blues in Jonesboro as manager.
The bridegroom is also a 2007 graduate of ASU with a degree in business and marketing. He is employed by Edward Jones and Company in Jonesboro as a financial adviser.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Jonesboro.
