Feast your eyes, Horseshoe Bend, because a more decorated group of golfers could not be found anywhere else on the planet.
After years of planning and hard work, the Horseshoe Bend Invitational is finally here.
And now it's time to reap the rewards of all that hard work, as the Legends Tour and its players hit town.
And, oh, what players they are.
Players on the Legends Tour have a combined 600 LPGA Tour victories, including 55 major championships.
And oh yeah, nine of those players are also in the LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame.
That's the stuff Legends are made of.
The Legends Tour began in 2000 by LPGA professionals to showcase the talents of some of the greatest women golfers of all time and now boasts over 100 members.
In addition to knowing a thing or two about how to hit a golf ball, The Legends Tour and its players know a thing or two about helping the communities they visit when they play the game.
In its seven seasons, The Legends Tour has awarded more than $6 million in prize money and donated more than $3 million to charity.
The Legends Tour has hosted events in Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Japan, Australia and now Arkansas.
And this is just year number one of a five-year agreement between Horseshoe Bend and The Legends Tour.
And as the years roll on, the Horseshoe Bend Invitational shall grow.
Plans are currently in the works to have years two through five of the event televised by The Golf Channel or ESPN.
Major corporate partners are American Airlines, Olay, BJ's Wholesale Club and Sharpie.
