Max L. Hutchison, 80, of Brimfield, Ill., died Sept. 12, 2008, at his residence in Brimfield.
He was born May 6, 1928, in Sturkie, Ark., a son of William O. and Nova K. Peterson Hutchison. He married Violet S. Burnett on Oct. 5, 1953, in Pekin, Ill. She preceded him in death on Dec. 21, 1996.
He worked at Pabst Brewing Company in Peoria Heights, retiring in 1982 and was a member of the Baptist Church in Sturkie, Ark.
He also was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by: five sons, Jerry L. (Julie) Hutchison of rural Elmwood, Ill., Doyle W. (Marita) Hutchison of Sibley, Iowa, Ricky J. (Deborah) Hutchison of Elmwood, Ill., Larry D. (Cindy) Hutchison of Canton, Ill. and Max D. Hutchison of Brimfield, Ill.; two daughters, Connie S. Way of Pekin, Ill., and Doylene K. (Michael) McCoy of Oak Hill, Ill.; two brothers, Jimmy Hutchison of Florida and Duane Hutchison of Sturkie, Ark.; two sisters, Frieda Harris of Michigan and Rita K. Lewis of Sturkie; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 17, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria, Ill., with the Rev. Howard Love officiating. Burial followed in Pottstown Cemetery in Pottstown, Ill.
