The Eagle Fest committee invites everyone to come join in on games, food and family fun while they host their 14th annual Eagle Fest Oct. 3-4.
The Eagle Fest will kick off at 5 p.m., Oct. 3, at the Ash Flat ball park, with Matt Joyce, an Elvis impersonater. Joyce will perform from 5-7 p.m. Following the Elvis show, there will be a street dance while The Black River Band performs from 7 - 10 p.m. The American Cancer Society will hold their Walk for Hope starting at 10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 4, the 5K walk/run will start at 8 a.m. At 10 a.m. there will be a pie baking contest. There will also be a cookie baking contest for children 15 and under, at 10 a.m.
The Strut Your Mutt dog show will also be held at 10 a.m. The committee invites all dogs and their owners to enter this contest.
The music will start at noon on Saturday. The first band to perform is a gospel group, Mercy River Boys. They are scheduled to play until 2 p.m.
From 2-4 p.m., the Bill Musick Band will be on stage. The Prison Band will follow until 6 p.m.
There will be a street dance from 6-10 p.m. while the Hey Wyere Band performs.
A cash giveaway will be held at 10 p.m. both nights of the Eagle Fest.
