The Highland Lady Rebels, defending Class 4A state golf champions, came five strokes from earning back-to-back titles Sept. 30 at the Russellville Country Club.
Highland shot a team score of 297 in this year's state tournament, good for second place, five strokes behind Pottsville's 292.
Bobbi Jo Cooper paced the Lady Rebs, who were district and regional champions, with a 94. Kaitlyn Duncan followed with a 95, while Savannah Harris added a 108 for Highland.
Farmington's Ashley Gourley earned medalist honors with an 85.
After Pottsville and Highland, Waldron came in third with a team score of 312, while Ozark finished fourth (334), Southside fifth (337) and De Queen sixth (338).
Cooper, Duncan and Harris came in one, two, three in the individual standings in both the district and regional tournaments for Highland.
