Jimmy W. Rogers, 53, of Marquette Heights, Ill., died Sept. 26, 2008, at Methodist Medical Center. He was born May 14, 1966, in Detroit, Mich., to Coy and Vera Rogers Rogers. He married Kimberly Rogers on Sept. 9, 1989, in Sharp County Arkansas.
He graduated from art school and worked as a job coordinator for H&H Track works.
He is survived by: his wife, Kimberely; his mother, Vera Booth of Ash Flat; his children, Perish M. Rogers, Demi C. Rogers and Kimberly L. Martin all of Marquette Heights, Joseph J. Martin and Jason D. (Patti) Martin, both of Canton, Misty M. Martin of Oregon, James M. (Anita) Martin of Ipava, Tina I. Collier of Creve Coeur, Steven J. Beak, who is serving in the U.S. Army; and Kyle and Cole; one brother, Larry (June) Rogers of Cherokee Village; a sister, Ginger (Randy) Smith of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren.
His father and stepfather, John Booth, preceded him in death.
Cremation was accorded and a memorial service took place Oct. 6 at First Baptist Church in Marquette Heights.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family. Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Company, is assisting the family with arrangements.
