Ronald Rudolph Parnell was born Nov. 5 1946, in Mammoth Spring, Ark., the son of Henry Rudolph Parnell and Callie Denton Parnell, and died Oct. 18, 2008, in Hardy, Ark., at the age of 61.
He was employed by the Arkansas Power and Light Company for many years and was later was employed by the Price Chopper in Hardy, Ark.
He is survived by: two sisters Patsy Ann Baldridge and husband Pap of Mammoth Spring and Mary Sue Murphy and husband, Ron of Ironton, Mo.; four nieces, Barbara Gann of Mammoth Spring, Pam McLaurin of Ironton, Mo., Rhonda Foley of Fulton, Mo., and Jackie Ware of Aurora, Mo.; three nephews, Ricky Allen of El Cajon, Calif.; Marcus and Adam Allen both of Las Vegas, Nev.; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; a special great-great-nephew; a great-great-niece; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Loyd Wayne Parnell.
Funeral services were held Oct. 21 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Bro. Floyd Rikard officiating.
Burial followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
