Lady Horns smoke Bergman

Viola hit the road to Bergman Nov. 4 and came back home with a split of games.

The Lady Longhorns clobbered the Lady Panthers 51-26 to start the evening.

Viola led 16-7 after one, 25-16 at the half and 42-23 after three.

Taylor Griggs led the Lady Horns with 13 points, while Chasidy Hutson followed with 12. Elisabeth Collins logged eight points and Leslie Barker finished with seven.

In boys' action, it was the home team that won at Panther Palace.

Bergman jumped in front 17-7 after the first period of play and went on to top Viola 64-26.

Jackson Rains paced the Longhorns with seven points, while Blake Baumunk added five.

Viola followed its road trip to Bergman with a trip to Imboden, to take on Sloan-Hendrix Nov. 7.

The Horns came back with wins over the Greyhounds.

The Lady Longhorns (5-0) smashed Sloan-Hendrix 51-14 to start the evening.

The Lady Horns led 13-7 after one, 28-11 at the half, and after holding Sloan-Hendrix to a single point in the third, 46-12 after three.

Collins had 15 points to lead Viola, with Hutson hitting for 11 and Griggs nine.

In senior boys' action, Viola (3-2) prevailed 53-23.

Viola held a 17-9 lead after one and stretched that to 35-11 at the half.

Marlin Coggins tossed in 12 for the Longhorns, with Rains following with 10 and Baumunk eight.
