MYRTLE -- A Myrtle man, George N. McFann received serious injuries after the truck he was driving hit a county road grader head on.
According to a report filed by Michael Hargus with Troop G of the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident happened Nov. 6, at 1:30 p.m. on Oregon County Road 261 about three miles northwest of Myrtle.
McFann, 86, was driving a 1988 Ford Ranger truck when he ran into a 2003 Caterpillar road grader being operated by Jason Kemp, 30, of Alton.
Kemp received no injuries in the accident. McFann was air-lifted to a Poplar Bluff hospital and later transfered to a Memphis, Tenn., hospital where he is reported in stable but serious condition.
Hargus reported that McFann was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
