Doris J. Kendrick, 81, of Cherokee Village Ark., died Nov. 2, 2008, in Searcy, Ark. She was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of the late Joseph Claude Jarboe and Martha (Whalen) Jarboe.
She was a member of the Joyful Noise Kitchen Band, was in Civil Defense, a part of the Rosary making and in the St. Michael's Catholic Church Choir. She lived in Cherokee Village for 33 years.
She is survived by: one son, Timothy Kendrick of Cherokee Village; two daughters, Claudia MacArthur of Cherokee Village and Jamie Prohaska of Mattson, Ill.; one sister, Betty Bolesta of Illinois; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, James L. Kendrick; and one son, Clifton Kendrick.
Funeral mass services were held Nov. 7 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village. Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
