Carole Katherine Morris, 69, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Nov. 3, 2008, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born Oct. 21, 1939, in Jersey City, N.J., the daughter of Irvin Farney and Hilda (Rothe) Farney.
She worked as a secretary for many years. She moved with her husband, Royston, to Cherokee Village, Ark., in January of 2006. She was a member of the Elks and the Garden Club.
She is survived by: her husband, Royston of the home; two sons, Richard Walsh of North Carolina and Robert Walsh of New York; one step-son, Dr. Garrett Morris of Great Britain; one step-daughter, Beverly Paine of Great Britain; a special niece, Dianne Conklin of Florida; a grandson, Tyler Walsh; and three step-grandchildren, Georgie, Charlie and Mathew Paine.
A gathering of family and friends was held Nov. 7 at the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.
