A former Izard County Consolidated band and choir instructor, Brock M. Felton, 33, of Melbourne, will soon go to trial to answer 28 counts of sex-related charges, which occurred from September 2007 to April of 2008.
Felton's pre-trial was scheduled for October but the trial was continued to Jan. 5-9 because of a death in Felton's family.
He is being charged with 15 counts of sexual indecency with a child under different statutes, nine counts of sexual assault in the 2nd degree and four counts of voyeurism.
All of the 22 victims appear to be male students, all under the age of 18, who Felton had in his classes.
According to the Izard County Clerk's Office, the Honorable Judge Tim Weaver sealed the affidavit of probable cause for arrest for Felton, which includes interviews with the minors and Felton, on May 1.
Felton resigned his teaching position at ICC in April for health reasons, according to ICC Superintendent Fred Walker.
