Winford Glen Coggin, 79, of Salem, Ark., son of the late George Samuel and Bertha Belle (Wells) Coggin, was born on June 26, 1929, at Glencoe, Ark. He died Nov. 11, 2008, at his home.
He was married to Wilma Ellis and to this union two children were born. He later married Wanda Adams. He spent his working years as a truck driver.
He was a member of the Salem Church of Christ and served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by: wife, Wanda Coggin of Salem; son, Steve Coggin of Texarkanna, Texas; daughter, Connie (Coggin) Hamilton of Sherwood, Ark.; step-son, Ronnie Adams of Salem; step-daughter, Dottie Orr of Salem; brother, Truman Coggin of Granite City, Ill.; four sisters, Lucille Bell of Salem, Janice Cantrell of Marion, Ind., Barbara Ninemire of Salem and Venetta Humphrey of Mammoth Spring; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his first wife Wilma; his parents; a brother, Sanford Coggin; and a sister, Erma Lynch.
Funeral services were Nov. 13 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, with Bro. David Gibson and Bro. Ken Deshane officiating. Interment followed in Morriston Cemetery at Morriston, Ark., with arrangements by Barker Funeral Home in Salem.
Pallbearers were Bradley Rogers, Cody Coggin, Marty Ninemire, Chris Hamilton, Jamie Hamilton and N.J. Benton.
