Calico Rock swept Mammoth Spring in a pair of 1A-2 North games Nov. 11 at Harold Ray Jeffery Gymnasium.
In boys' action, the Pirates (3-6, 1-1) picked up their first conference win of the year by a 50-48 count.
Calico Rock led 11-10 after one, but with two minutes left in the half, the Bears (4-3, 1-1) had managed to claw ahead by 11 points.
But Calico Rock finished strong, and thanks to a 5-0 run, only trailed 27-21 at the half.
The Pirates managed to get the lead back in the second half and were up by as many as seven points in the fourth period.
Mammoth Spring fought back, but still came up two points short of the Pirates.
Brayden McCurley paced Calico Rock with a game-high 17 points and went six-for-six at the charity stripe late in the fourth as the Bears made a push at the lead. Sam Nave added 12 for the Pirates.
Seth Godwin led the Bears with 14 points, with Caleb Brown logging 11. Colton Goetting pulled down 10 boards for Mammoth Spring.
In girls' play, the Lady Pirates (8-1, 2-0) topped Mammoth Spring 45-27.
Hannah Wright tossed in 11 points for Calico Rock, with Kori Lamb adding nine.
