Bernard Alex Kalvelage, 83, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Nov. 17, 2008, at Baxter County Regional Hospital in Mountain Home, Ark.
Bernard was a retired welding engineer. He served in the Army during WWII. He was the son of the late Francis Kalvelage and the late Anna (Paquette) Kalvelage.
He is survived by: his wife, Lewella (Schley) Kalvelage; sons, Gregory Kalvelage of Mason, Ariz., David Kalvelage of Chandler, Ariz.; sisters, Frances Newell of Danville, Ill., Marion Mahl of Cherokee Village; brothers, George Kalvelage of McHenry, Ill., Bill Kalvelage of Park Forest, Ill. and Dick Kalvelage of Hickory Hills, Ill.
He was proceded in death by: a brother, Giles Kalvelage; sister, Arlene Kalvelage; and a grandson, David Kalvelage.
A Funeral Mass was held Nov. 21 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Cherokee Village with Father Tom Mark officiating.
