Three people were injured in a three vehicle accident Nov. 25 at 2:26 p.m. on U.S. Highway 62/412. Robert Barker, 22, of Salem, driving a 2000 Chevy, was traveling east on 62-412 when he failed to see two cars in front of him stopped in the traffic lane. Barker rear-ended Valarie Rogers, 39, of West Plains, Mo., who was driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, and knocked her onto the south shoulder. Rogers was carrying two passengers, Jalene Canada, 21, and Dillion Heath, 2.
Barker's vehicle continued and rear-ended William Beebe, 59, of Pineville, who was driving a 2001 Chevy. Both Barker and Beebe's vehicles came to rest in the east bound traffic lane. Beebe, Rogers and one of Rogers' passengers were transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home for treatment of their injuries. Barker was charged with not wearing a seat belt. The investigating trooper was David Small.
