Thanks to a big blast early in the second half of play, the Cave City Cavewomen rolled to a 48-28 rout of Yellville-Summit in 3A-1 East play Nov. 24.
Cave City was up 20-19 at intermission and then opened the third period by scoring the first 20 points of the second half to cruise to a 20-point win.
Brittany Landers led the Cavewomen with 15 points, while Cheyenne Childers added 12.
Haylie Bell had eight, and Jessica Hall seven.
Amelia Bray scored four points and Whitney Bell finished with two points for the Cavewomen.
In boys' action, Seth Foreman unloaded for five treys en route to a 20-point night, but the homestanding Panthers topped the Cavemen 62-58 in overtime.
Kyle Cherry added 12 points for the Cavemen, while Dakota Tuggle had seven.
Taylor Clark, Zac Smith and Levi Watts logged four points each for Cave City. Jordan Croft had three points, with John Rhoades and Derek Bailey logging two points apiece.
