Live nativity open to public

Thursday, December 11, 2008

"We really want to include all of the public so everyone can find something positive in the season," Brien Nix Hall Pastor of Hardy United Methodist Church said about their living nativity scene this year.

Hall said the nativity scene will be held Dec. 17 and 18 from 6 p.m-8 p.m at the Hardy United Methodist Church on Spring Street in Hardy.

There will be cookies and hot chocolate handed out to those driving by or fellowship and refreshments inside for anyone who wishes to join.

"Even though the economy is down, we want to show that the spirit is not," Hall said. "Plus -- kids don't understand economy."

Hall said he hopes everyone will come out, enjoy the scene and support the kids who have put their time into this nativity scene.

What a nice alternative to the 'santa' centered activities this time of year!
