John Trivitt, 18, of Franklin, was charged with commercial burglary and theft of property Dec. 11. The arrest stemmed from a burglary at Snappy Mart the night of Dec. 7 in which an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise was stolen. Early Dec. 8, Horseshoe Bend Police Officer Lloyd Broughton discovered a door open at Snappy Mart. After the building was secured, it was discovered that someone had stolen money from the store. Officers Tamara Taylor and Lt. Carl Boles investigated the incident and the money and murchandise were recovered Dec. 8.
The Horseshoe Bend Police Department is investigating the theft of an automobile from Crown Point Health and Rehab. A 1996 Nissan Sentra was stolen from the parking lot between 3:20 and 3:50 p.m., Dec. 11. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left inside the vehicle.
Kirby Booth, 51, of Mansfield, Mo., was arrested Dec. 12 on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines. He is currently being held at the Sharp County Jail on unrelated charges.
