OREGON COUNTY -- Oregon County Chief Deputy Eric King reported Dec. 15 that Rob Adams who lives on county road 342 just off M Highway near Rover called the sheriff's office Dec. 7 very upset.
"When he called he said that someone had broke into his house while he and his wife were at church and stole everything out of his safe," King said.
Adams told King in his initial report that $15,000 in cash, several credit cards and all his mortgage information were stolen from the safe.
King said Adams is blaming Kyle Tillman for the theft. He said Tillman and Adam's daughter have a child in common.
Alton Police Chief Rusty Warren who is also helping in the investigation said he was told the safe was in a camper in the Adam's yard.
Both officers said they would be working the incident as a theft.
