Lula Maurean Bilbrey, 95, of Poughkeepsie, Ark., died Dec. 18, 2008, at the Fulton County Hospital. She was born June 7, 1913, at Powells Chapel, Ark., the daughter of Jasper and Rosa Maud (Kent) Runsick.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.
Survivors include: a son, Bill Bilbrey of Poughkeepsie; three daughters, Lula Bounds of Festus, Mo., Tena Cotton of Cave City and Peggy Simpson of Williford; two sisters, Bonnie Flowers and Maudene Bailey both of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren, Sherry Auten of Houston, Texas, Charles Cotton, Jamie Pounds and Patrick Simpson all of Cave City, Ben Simpson of Little Rock and Erik Simpson of Poughkeepsie; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Noble Lewis; three brothers, Otis Runsick, Jim T. Runsick, J.D. Runsick; one sister, Lela Tuggle; and a niece, Mona Bailey.
Funeral services were held Dec. 21 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Darrell Douglas officiating. Burial followed in the Lebanon Cemetery located at Nelsonville with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Charles Cotton, Dean Parsley, Tommy Morgan, L.D. Bilbrey, Gary Bilbrey and Tommy Norris.
Honorary pallbearers were Neil Runsick, Jack Dawson and Keith Dawson.
