OREGON COUNTY -- The University of Missouri Extension has announced a unique opportunity for youth and their families on Jan. 24 beginning at 10 a.m.
This event will be open to both 4-H and non 4-H families in Oregon, Howell, Ozark, Shannon and Texas counties.
The 4-H youth energizer will be held at the Cabool Middle School, registration will take place in the cafeteria.
Oregon County 4-H Youth Specialist Becky Basset said, "This event will be an opportunity for parents and their children to learn about 4-H projects such as livestock, dance, theater arts, character education and Clover Kids."
Youth will be asked to select workshops offered for the day. These workshops are open to all youth ages 8 to 18 and their parents, with activities for youth ages 5 to 7 to occur throughout the day in separate sessions.
