Emma Emilie Herbold Hulsey was born Oct. 30, 1907, at Thayer, Mo., the 12th child of August Herbold and Henriette (Hattie) Zelmore Hebold and died Jan. 2, 2009, in Norwich, N.Y., at the age of 101.
She was married June 14, 1929, to Noble Hulsey, and to this union one son, Kenneth Hulsey, was born.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law, Elana Hulsey of Afton, N.Y.; one step-grandson, Phillip Geary of Afton, N.Y.; one step-granddaughter, Trish Kershner of Afton, N.Y.; two nieces; several Herbold nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, August and Hattie Herbold; her husband of 63 years, Noble Hulsey; her son, Kenneth Hulsey; nine brothers, Frank, Bill, Henry, George, Lee, Albert, Joe, Ernest and Ed; two sisters, Eizabeth and Elsie; six nephews and three nieces.
Funeral services were held Jan. 7 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Bro. Richard Robinson officiating. Burial followed in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer, Mo.
