Charles Otis Sipes, 67, of Salem, Ark., son of the late Theodore and Pauline Geneva (Bagley) Sipes, was born June 3, 1941, in Hot Springs, Ark. He died Jan. 14, 2009, at the Southfork River Therapy and Living Center in Salem.
Charles was united in marriage to Wanda Diann Woodward on Nov. 19, 1966, at San Francisco, Calif. He spent his working years as an airline mechanic. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and he was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by: four daughters, Sandra Diann Talamo of Ukiah, Calif., Tammy Kay Worsham of Salem, Carol Dawn Wiles of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., and Robin Lynn Pott of Cottonwood, Ariz.; one brother, Tony Sipes of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Kay Weyer-Sanders, Michael Charles Pott, Diann Nicole Talamo, Laney Elizabeth Wiles, Autumn Dawn Wiles and Nicholas Ray Wiles; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife; parents; daughter, Faith Elizabeth Sipes; and two grandsons, John Arthur Talamo and David Joseph Talamo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem.
