Carla Sue Cochran Graham, 60, of Willard, Mo., died Jan. 6, 2009, at her daughter's home after a brief battle with colon cancer.
She was born in Stuart, Ark. Her family settled in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Clyde Graham in 1978 and they both worked for Healthco Krause Dental in Omaha, Neb. Their entrepreneurial spirit lead them to Albuquerque, N.M., where they founded Graham Dental Supply. When they returned to the Ozarks, they worked together at the local Healthco branch and later at Goetze Dental. She also worked with the American Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde.
She is survived by: her parents, Carlos and Vanetta Cochran of Ash Flat; a brother Don Cochran of Ash Flat; six children, Jennifer Peterson and husband Greg of Walnut Grove, Mo., Glen Johnson of Springfield, Mo., Vicki Graham of Ponca City, Okla., Mark Graham and wife Deanna of Liberty, Mo., Melody Gonzales and husband Randy of Salina, Kan., Gary Graham and wife Cindy of Grand Prairie, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carla's name to the American Red Cross, the Springfield/Greene County Library or your local library system.
A memorial will be held Jan. 24 at 11 a.m., at Christ Church Unity, 2214 E. Seminole, Springfield, Mo., with Rev. Sue Baggett officiating.
