A Calico Rock man was arrested Jan. 31 and formally charged with use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a class "C" felony. Donnie Ray Woodcock, 25, was arrested at a residence near Pineville.
A warrant was also served on Woodcock for violating terms of his Arkansas Department of Correction probation/parole. Woodcock remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $25,000 bond set by Judge David Miller. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Woodcock is also subject to a Department of Correction hold.
Sean Christopher Savage, 37, of Melbourne, following a Feb. 1 disturbance and altercation, was arrested on charges of criminal trespass, battery third degree, endangering the welfare of a minor, assault third degree and obstructing governmental operation. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said bond was posted Feb. 3 in the in amount of $4,525 and Savage was released.
Danny Gene Franks Jr., 31, of Melbourne was arrested Jan. 26 on charges of reckless driving and fleeing on foot. Franks posted bond in the amount of $510 and given a court date
Antonio Sanchez IV, 19, of Pineville was arrested Feb. 1 on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Sanchez posted bond that same day in the amount of $410 and was released
In other sheriff's related activity, Morgan Lynn Campbell, 19, of Searcy was arrested Feb. 2 on charges to include public intoxication, disorderly conduct and driving on a suspended license. Campbell was released later the same day after posting bond in the amount of $1,015.
Joseph Anthony Gaston, 24, of Pineville was arrested Feb. 2 on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Gaston later posted bond in the amount of $410 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Justin Allen Janson, 23, of Pineville was arrested Feb. 1 on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Janson posted bond the same day in the amount of $410 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility
William Shawn Woody, 22, of Mountain View was arrested Feb. 8 on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Woody later posted bond in the amount of $605 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Dewayne Whitaker was arrested Feb. 5 on a failure to appear warrant stemming from an earlier charge of violation of Arkansas Hot Check Law. Whitaker remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $5,087 bond.
Jesse Coonce, 24, of Hensley, Ark., was arrested Feb. 2 on a warrant for violating the Arkansas Hot Check Law. Coonce posted bond Feb. 5 in the amount of $652 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Failure to appear warrants were issued and arrests were made on three non-county residents. Included in these Feb. 5-6 arrests were Michael Arthur Kicker, 38, of Gassville; Tracie Lakai Johnson, 40, of Batesville; and Kyle Anderson Elrod of Cherokee Village.
Six individuals awaiting bed space after being arrested and convicted in Izard County were recently transported from the Izard County Detention Facility to the Arkansas Department of Correction to serve prison time. Those transported include Rodney Paul Medling, 33, of Brockwell; Jeffery Todd Engle, 39, of Mount Pleasant; Jeremy David Wray, 30, of Calico Rock; Jamie Kyle Hutchison, 35, of Trumann; Larry Wayne Horton, 37, of Horseshoe Bend; and Carl Benjamin Vannatter, 21, of Pineville.
