Mary E. Pearce, 83, of Cave City, Ark., died Feb. 15, 2009, at a Searcy Hospital. She was born June 17, 1925, at Royal, Ark., the daughter of John and Mary Muzik Weatherford.
She had worked at Uni/First in Cave City, was a granny at the Cave City Elementary School and a member of the East Side Southern Baptist Church in Cave City.
Survivors include: one grandson, Yancy Branscum of Pleasant Plains; two great-grandsons, Marshall Branscum and Trace Branscum both of Pleasant Plains; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband William Calvin Pearce; two daughters, Mary Savage and Lydia Branscum; and three brothers, James Weatherford, Paul Weatherford and Wilburn Weatherford.
Funeral services were held Feb. 18 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Yancy Branscum, Larry Branscum, Jim Smith, Matt Foster, Shane Martin and Brian Brown.
