Orphis John England, was born Nov. 18, 1916, at Many Islands, Ark., the son of the late John Wesley England and Ollie Taylor England. He died Feb. 17, 2009, in Salem, Ark., at the age of 92.
He was united in marriage Sept. 25, 1940, at Hardy, Ark., to Beulah Anderson.
He was a life-long livestock farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by: his wife, Beulah England of the home in Hardy, Ark.; one daughter, Wilma Stockton and husband, Phillip of Maumelle, Ark.; one grandson, Michael Stockton and wife, Susan of Mountain Home, Ark.; two great-grandsons; five nieces; one nephew; a special friend, Bill Ball; other relatives; and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Ollie England; two brothers, Harry England and Ira England; and one sister, Carrie Minor.
Funeral services were held Feb. 21 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with Bro. Floyd Rikard officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Cemetery near Mammoth Spring, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
