Oma Lois Weaver, 88, of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late Forest Washington and Lydia JoAnn (Murphy) Phelps, was born Aug. 30, 1920, at Heart, Ark, and died February 16, 2009, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
Oma was united in marriage to Odis Everett Weaver on Aug. 3, 1940, at Heart, Ark.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
She is survived by: son, Bobby Weaver and wife Rhonda of Salem; daughter, Gail Bledsoe and husband Everett of Wichita, Kan.; brother, Willis Phelps and wife Glenda of Salem, ; two sisters, Dean Treat of Wichita, Kan., and Faye Presley and husband Troy of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; a son, Norman Everett Weaver; two daughters, Thelma Lee and Joyce Ann Weaver; a grandson Gary Miller; two brothers, Mervin and Roy Phelps; and two sisters, Jean Smith and Bernice Keirn.
Funeral services were held Feb. 19 at the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, with Bro. Mike Yates officiating. Interment followed in the Agnos Cemetery at Agnos, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
Pallbearers were Tim Miller, Danny Phelps, James Weaver, Rocky Keirn, Steve Maguffee and Ryan Keirn.
Memorials preferred to the Salem Church of Christ.
