Doris Jacquelyn "Jackie" Russell, 71, of Hardy, Ark., died Feb. 18, 2009, at her home. She was born July 27, 1937, at Highland, Ark., the daughter of Lester and Bernice Jesse Talley.
She was a retired cook from Highland High School. She was a member of the Saddle Church of Christ.
Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, Jerry Russell of the home; one son, Garry "Crowbar" Russell of Hardy; a grandson, Shane Russell of Hardy; a granddaughter, Jessica Russell of Mountain Home; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Casey of Pine Bluff and Barbara Allen of Mitchell, Ind.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her brother, Bruce Talley.
Funeral services were held Feb. 20 at the Tri-County Funeral Home located in Highland, Ark.
Burial followed in the Hirshburger Cemetery located north of Cherokee Village, Ark., on Slick Rock Trail. Floyd Rikard officiated.
Pallbearers were Shane Russell, Crowbar Russell, Billy Mac Heney, Bobby Duncan, Jimmy Russell and Randall Harriss.
Honorary pallbearers were Russell Goodman, Jeff Dailey, Jason Russell, Tracy Haney, Bill McFadden, Lafe Evans, Kerry Wayne Evans, Tony Rook, Roger French, John French, T.D. Sublett, Clovis Sweeney, Tommy Garner, Peter Sullivan and Stan Haney.
