OREGON COUNTY -- School board elections in Oregon County will be held April 7, the same day as the General Municipal Election.

The Alton School District had no one file for positions except the incumbents and the Couch School District has the same situation.

Oregon County Clerk Gary Hensley said the polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

In the Thayer School District there are two school board positions open for three-year terms. Those who have filed include incumbent Carrie Tucker and newcomers Erman Croney and Betty Morris. Shelly Hollis, who is now serving on the school board, did not file for re-election.

Hensley said Thayer voters will vote at the Thayer Church of Christ.

In the Koshkonong School District there are also two positions open for three-year terms.

Incumbent Michael Adams has filed, as well as newcomers Bud Johnson, Stacie Huffman, Noval Willbanks, Sheila Miller, Brandi Sutherland and Dewayne Phipps. Tammy Huffman who is currently serving on the Koshkonong School Board did not file for re-election.

Hensley said Koshkonong voters will vote at the Koshkonong City Hall and at the Brandsville City Hall.
