Dorothea Herzog, age 92 of Alton, Mo., formerly of West Plains, Mo., was born June 28, 1916, in Chicago, Ill., and died March 1, 2009, at the Shepherd's View Residential Care Center in Alton, Mo.
Survivors include: one son, Roy Herzog, Sr. of Alton; one daughter, Teralyn Hensley and husband Gary of Alton; four grandchildren, Wendy Green and husband Roger of West Plains, Mo., Roy "Chip" Herzog Jr., of West Plains, Kimberly Hensley of Alton and Robin Holman and husband Billy of Alton; six great-grandchildren, Tiffany Atkisson, Timothy Barlow, Gavin Loggains, Patrick Sims, Tanner Holman and Tyson Holman; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Emily Herbick, Emma Tremper, Juliann Huebert; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives; friends; and all her "special angels" at Shepherd's View.
Preceding her in death were: her parents, Gottfried Wiegel and Dorothea Gore Wiegel; her husband, Godfred Herzog; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Herzog; a niece, Linda Schnieders; three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2009, in the Clary Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Strain officiating. Burial followed in the Cotton Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, Mo.
