Opal Evelyn Boze was born Jan. 31, 1919, in Farewell, Mo., the daughter of the late Samuel N. Ehrhardt and Rebecca DuBois Ehrhardt and died March 3, 2009, in Thayer, Mo., at the age of 90.
She was united in marriage May 19, 1938, in Couch, Mo., to George Lee Boze who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1978.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Koshkonong and was active in the Senior citizens group in Koshkonong. She was a retired garment factory worker.
She is survived by: three sons, Floyd Boze and wife, Maxine of Cedarcreek, Mo., Dean Boze and wife, Mary of West Plains, Mo. and Jim Boze and wife, Wilma of Koshkonong, Mo.; four grandchildren, Anthony, Pamela, Michael and Cheryl; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roscoe Ehrhardt of Ava, Mo. and Don Ehrhardt of Forsyth, Mo.; six sisters, Jerry McIntosh of Florida, Vida Stovall of Springfield, Mo., Loretta Wright of Flint, Mich., Lillian Huffman of Springfield, Glenda Slaughter of Springfield, and Wanda Johnson of Washington; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Samuel and Rebeca Ehrhardt; her husband, George Boze; and one sister, Joann Bryant.
Funeral services were held March 6 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Dale Kester officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
