After being on the run for about a week, Kenneth Wayne Smith Jr., 34 of the Belview North community in Melbourne was arrested March 2 in Paragould and transported to the Izard County Detention Facility. Smith is being held in jail on felony contempt of court charges and will remain incarcerated until his scheduled court date April 9. At the time Smith was booked into the detention facility, he again tested positive for multiple illegal drugs.
Antonio Sanchez IV, 19 of Calico Rock was arrested the afternoon of March 1 and charged with assault third degree, criminal mischief second degree and obstructing governmental operations. At the time of the Sanchez arrest, he tested positive for marijuana, meth and amphetamines. Sanchez remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,250 bond.
Michael Gene Johnson, 39 of Melbourne was arrested March 3 on a warrant accusing him of battery in the third degree. Additional charges are pending against Johnson all involving ownership of disputed property. Johnson was released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a court date.
Jefferson Robert Morgan, 23 of Brockwell was arrested March 2 on charges of driving while intoxicated-drugs and driving left of center. At the time of his arrest, Morgan tested positive for illegal drugs that include marijuana and meth. Morgan was later released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a bond in the amount of $1,185.
Michael Wade Bailey, 51 of Batesville was arrested March 1 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bailey later posted bond in the amount of $1,105 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
