Charges have been filed against John Wayne Morgan in connection with the late October burglary of three Calico Rock businesses. Jenkins' Boat Dock, Bill Terry's Boat Dock and Don Quixotes café were burglarized on or about October 23, 2008. Cash was taken from Jenkins' Boat Dock, cash and two rifles were taken from Bill Terry's and cash was taken from Don Quixote's. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Morgan, 26, of Calico Rock, is charged with three counts of commercial burglary, class "C" felonies and three counts of theft of property, class "C" felonies. Morgan is charged as a habitual offender and according to Sheriff Lawrence, Morgan is currently in the Minnesota Department of Corrections serving a sentence on similar charges in that state. Lawrence said that Morgan will be transported to Izard County for trial.

Antonio Sanchez, 19, of Calico Rock, was arrested again Friday on charges that include disorderly conduct and criminal mischief following an incident at a Calico Rock arcade. Due to his aggressive conduct after being arrested and placed in the Izard County Detention Facility, Sanchez was charged with obstructing governmental operations and two additional charges of disorderly conduct. At the time of his arrest, Sanchez was out on bond as a result of March 1 charges of assault, criminal mischief and obstructing governmental operations. San-chez remains in jail in lieu of $4,015 bond.

Also arrested in connecttion with the Calico Rock arcade incident was Justin Allen Janson, 23, of Calico Rock. Janson posted bond in the amount of $2,500 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Janson's date of arrest was March 14.

Jamie Clayton Stapleton, 28, of Arkadelphia, was arrested March 11 on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Stapleton was released the same day after posting bond in the amount of $1,000. An arrest warrant has been obtained for Stapleton in connection with the arcade incident. An arrest is pending.

Response to a call at a trailer park in Calico Rock resulted in the March 15 arrest of Bradford Sloan Webb, 23, of Calico Rock. Webb was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and obstructing governmental operations. Webb remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,515 bond.

In a drug related arrest, Lacey J. Cotter, 27, of Mountain Home, was arrested March 12 on charges of public intoxication-drugs and possession of an instrument of crime. Cotter, later posted bond in the amount of $1,310 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Charles Vaden Reed, 28, of Melbourne, was arrested March 13 on charges of driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test and driving on a suspended license. Reed remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,160 bond.

In another alcohol related arrest, Michael Lee Uecker, 36, was arrested in the early afternoon of March 13 on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding. Uecker posted bond the following day in the amount of $2,960 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility

Zackary Dale Foster, 19, of Jordan, was arrested March 16 on the charge of under age DUI. Foster remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond.

Randall James Woodward, 24, of Norfolk, was arrested March 13 on a failure to appear in court warrant. Woodward remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a bond revocation.

Lacey Nicole Collins, 19, of Cherokee Village, was arrested March 10 on the charge of failure to appear involving violation of the Arkansas hot check law. Collins posted bond March 12 in the amount of $1,788 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Bobbie Jo Owens, 30, of Cave City, was arrested March 15 on criminal contempt of court charges. Owens posted bond the same day in the amount of $425 and was released to Sharp County authorities.

Sausha Dee Jones, 32, of Pleasant Plains, was placed in the Izard County Detention Facility on a surrender of her bond. Jones remains incarcerated.

Two individuals appearing in Izard County Circuit Court and testing positive for illegal drugs were found in comptempt of court and committed to ten days in jail. Those jailed were Christopher S. Padelford, 39, of Calico Rock, and Larry Dean Powell, 50, of Dolph.
