Barbara Jean Haskell, 79, of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late Milo Otis and Margaret Norma (Bump) Hand, was born on June 25, 1929, in Olean, N.Y. She died March 7, 2009, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
Barbara was united in marriage to Fay Lewllyn Haskell on Dec. 13, 1947, at Friendship, N.Y. She was a homemaker. Barbara was a member of the Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Salem, past member of the American Legion at Friendship, N.Y.; and past captain of the Ambulance Squad Auxiliary at Friendship, N.Y.
She is survived by: her husband, Fay Haskell of Salem; one son, Stephen Haskell of Coupersport, Pa.; one daughter, Martha Haskell of Salem; one sister, Elizabeth Unfus of Friendship, N.Y., one granddaughter, Christa Dozier of Coudersport, Pa.; one great-granddaughter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Norma Hilton.
A memorial service was held March 12, at the Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Salem with Bro. Bobby Coleman officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Friendship, N.Y.
