Barbara Ray Ogle

Barbara Ray Ogle, 76, of Oxford, Ark., daughter of the late William Clarence and Judith Marshall (Montgomery) Royalty, was born on July 29, 1932, in Nelson County, Ky. She died on March 11, 2009, at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Ark.

Barbara was first united in marriage to James Walter Smith, then later married to Earl Thomas Ogle. She spent her working years as a certified nursing assistant. Barbara was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Union, Ark.

She is survived by: two sons, Earl T. Ogle Jr. and wife, Tiffany of Oxford, Ark., and Rex Alan Ogle and wife, Jamie of Melbourne, Ark.; two daughters, Almeda Renee Martin and husband, Brian of Elizabeth and Laura Kimberley Sherrell and husband, Russell of Oxford, ; one brother, Eugene Daily Royalty of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Beatrice Crumes Ballard of Elizabethtown, Ky,, and Cuba Bullock Cook of Bardstown, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: both husbands; her parents; a son, James Walter Smith II; two brothers, James Wesley and William Osso Royalty and two sisters, Mabel Norris Lewis and Eula Mae Owens.

Graveside services were held March 14 at the Union Cemetery at Union, Ark., with Bro. Gary Wallace officiating.

Interment was in the Union Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark.
