Dona J. Wilson, was born No. 15, 1922, in Darling, Miss., the daughter of Isom T. Jones and Erma Branch Jones. She died March 11, 2009, in Mammoth Spring, Ark., at the age of 86.
She was married in 1976, to John M. Wilson who preceded her in death Aug. 29, 1999.
She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Business and Professional Organization. She and her husband, John were founding members of the Thayer Country Club.
She was a charter member of Graceland Baptist Church in Memphis and also a member of First Baptist Church in Thayer.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Smith of Memphis, Tenn., Gayle Boyd of Southhaven, Miss.; one son; Joey Queen of Memphis, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Amanda Glover, Andrea Kelder and Courtney Smith; two grandsons, Bill Pearson and Chris Queen; four great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Isom and Erma Jones; her husband, John M. Wilson; and four brothers, Floyd, Aubrey, Carl and I.C. Jones.
Funeral services were held March 14 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
