Richard Marchese Jr., 61, of Beebe, Ark., died March 13, 2009, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. He was born May 13, 1947, in Ohio. He was the son of Ross and Bernetta Carlton Marchese.
He was retired from the U.S. Army having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He also had worked for Entergy of Arkansas. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe.
Survivors include: his wife, Rhonda Perkey Marchese of the home; one son, Heath Marchese of Searcy; one daughter, Tianna Marchese of Maumelle; one sister and brother-in-law, Dottie and Glennis Vance of Zephyrhills, Fla.; one grandson, Blake Marchese of Sherwood; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held March 16 at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church located north of Cave City with Rev. Michael Ring officiating. Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Gary Johnson, Tony Perkey, Michael Higginbottom, Joel Turner, Gary Lovan and Bill Hamilton.
