Margie Diane Madden, 53, was born July 17, 1955, in Sheridan, Ind., daughter of Charles A. Woten and Barbara Bishop Woten. She died March 12, 2009, in Thayer, Mo., after a courageous 10 year battle with breast cancer.
She was married on July 28, 1973, at Koshkonong, Mo., to Archie Madden.
She was a Christian, being baptized in 1984, and became a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by: her husband, Archie of the home near Thayer; one son, Adam Madden and wife, Paige of West Plains, Mo.; three grandchildren, Gavin Ray, Aslan, Amya and one unborn grandchild; her mother, Barbara Bishop of Mena, Ark.; three brothers, David Woten of Mena, Gregory Woten and wife, Barbara of Ash Flat, and Larry Woten and wife, Donna of West Plains, Mo.; her adopted parents, Marvin and Marjorie Nickell of Hamilton, Mo.; three foster brothers, Michael Nickell and wife, Janet of Joplin, Mo., Steven Nickell and wife, Debrah of Stanbury, Mo., and Jackie Gonder of St. James, Mo.; one foster sister, Caren Buckles and husband, Richard of St. Louis, Mo.; five special friends; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Charles A. Woten; and a half-sister, Jeannie.
Memorial services were held March 15 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
