Margaret Louise Baker Blevins, of Violet Hill, Ark., daughter of the late Alfred Baker and Latha Yarberry Baker, was born March 3, 1934, in Tuckerman, Ark. She died March 18, 2009, in Batesville, Ark., at the age of 75 years.
She was united in marriage to Wilson Blevins on Nov. 24, 1954. To this union three sons were born.
During her working years, she was employed by the MarBax Shirt Company in Salem and Color Tile Flooring in Melbourne. She was a member of the Myron Community Church.
She is survived by: one son, Russell Blevins of Violet Hill; three brothers: Charles Matthews of Pocola, Okla., Bill Matthews of Bradford, Ark., and Oscar Matthews of Michigan City, Ind.; three sisters, Shirley Beal of Edgemont, Ark., Josephine Thompson of Batesville and Barbara Matthews of Batesville; three grandchildren, Brandi Holt Kevin Hutson and Lee Ann Johnson; special friends, Polly Hidalgo of Melbourne, Wendy Ramsden of Sacramento, Calif., and Stuart Stufflebeam of Violet Hill; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
She preceded in death by: her parents, her husband; two sons, Verlin Dale Blevins and Jimmy Randall Blevins; two sisters, Patsy Saylor and Helen James.
Funeral service were held March 21at the Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne. Burial followed at Violet Hill Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers were Randy Beal, Stacy Beal, Stuart Stufflebeam, Roger Woods, Gertis Wheeler, Kevin Hutson.
Honorary pallbearers were Rusty Shaver, Wayne Billingsley, Joe Murry.
