An early morning traffic stop on March 29 resulted in multiple charges against the driver. At approximately 1 a.m. Dominic Nelson, 35, of Mountain View, was observed near the intersection of Highways 5 and 56 driving in a suspicious manner and was later charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving on a suspended license. While being booked into the Izard County Detention Facility, Nelson was charged with refusal to submit to a chemical test. Nelson also had an arrest warrant from Stone County. Nelson remains incarcerated in lieu of bond in the amount of $6,640 and a hold from the Arkansas Department of Correction.
In another alcohol matter, a 17-year-old male was arrested later on the night of March 26 on the charge of public intoxication. The juvenile was placed under arrest and transported to the White River Juvenile Detention Facility in Batesville.
A traffic stop March 27 in Melbourne resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old driver on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Marijuana was found inside the pickup truck the juvenile was driving. Also recovered from the vehicle were rolling papers and other drug related items. The juvenile was transported to the juvenile detention facility in Batesville.
Troy D. Sanchez, 42, of Clarendon, was arrested March 23 on an Izard County failure to appear warrant. Sanchez posted bond later that day in the amount of $1,460 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Danny Glen Thomas, 48, of Oxford, was arrested March 24 on Missouri hot check warrants. Thomas was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting bond in the amount of $7,792.
Robert G. Ferrari, 20, of Melbourne, was arrested March 28 on a violation of Arkansas hot check law warrant. Ferrari posted bond in the amount of $240 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Corey Edward Eitleman, 29, of Melbourne, was arrested March 27 on a failure to appear warrant from Izard County. Eitelman posted bond in the amount of $1,175 and was released with a court date.
Michelle Renee Cox, 46, of Pineville, was arrested March 26 on charges that include violation of Arkansas hot check law, a child support enforcement warrant, holds from Baxter County and Horseshoe Bend. Cox posted bond in the amount of $6,720 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
