Laura Minnie Freeman, 81, of Mountain Home, Ark., formerly of Camp, Ark., daughter of the late Jonathan Maddock and Lilly Mae (Anderson) Harlow, was born Sept. 16, 1927, in Steprock, Ark. She died March 29, 2009, at her home in Mountain Home.
Laura was united in marriage to Norman Thomas Freeman on July 30, 1947, at Lawrence, Mich., and to this union six children were born. She spent her working years as a quilter. Laura was a member of the Salem Assembly of God Church and a member of the Camp Ladies Association.
She is survived by: a son, Al (Dianne) Freeman of Mountain Home; three daughters, Norma (Jerry) Vincent of Copenhagen, Denmark, Velma Paxson of Mountain Home and Anna (Dan) Sutherland of Camp; nine grandchildren, Renee Vincent, Ryan Vincent, James (Lisa) Paxson, Eric (Jill) Palmer, Laura (Greg) Bahr, Andy Freeman, Thomas (Alexa) Sutherland, Danielle (Paul) Foster and Russell (Debbie) Foreman; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Eisenhour of Springfield, Mo., Mable Harlow of Harrison and Wanda (Henry) Combs of Jasper; brother-in-law, Dean Freeman of College Place, Wash.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; a son, Laurel Onealius Freeman; a daughter, Donna Sue Foreman; two son-in-laws, Mike Foreman and J.R. Paxson; and a great- granddaughter, Odrianna Sutherland.
Funeral services were held April 1 at the Salem Assembly of God Church in Salem, Ark., with Bro. William Hughart, Bro. Ken DeShane and Bro. Mike Howell officiating. Interment was in the Camp Cemetery at Camp, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem.
Pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
