Robert (Bob) C. Rhea, 72, was born July 25, 1936, in Salem, Ark. He died March 23, 2009 .
Bob moved to Washington from Arkansas in 1953. He met Norma Dellinger in early 1958 and married her in November of that year. They celebrated their 50th anniversary, Nov. 26, 2008, with family. They had three children, Teresa, Cheryl and Bob, Jr.
He drove a truck for over fifty years and retired from Safeway in 1993. He was a member of the Pacific Northwest Vintage Snowmobile Club. The PNWVSC recently renamed the Moxee Summer Vinage Show, the "Bob Rheah Sr. Summer Vinage Snowmobile Classic" in his honor.
He is survived by: his wife, Norma; children, Teresa Luders, Cheryl Mills and husband, Steve, and Bob Rhea Jr. and wife Jeanette; grandchildren, Ryan Rhea, Lindsey Luders, Kali Ulmer, Lani Ulmer, Abigail Rhea, Colin Rhea and Noah Rhea; and two great-grandchildren; his mother, Lela Rhea; and three sisters, Madalyn Judd and husband, Meryl Ina Thomason of Harrison, Ark., and Bernis Jordan and husband, Tom, of Libby, Mont.; three brothers Russell Rhea, of North Syracuse, N.Y., Walter Rhea, wife Cherie of Everett, Wash., and John Rhea, wife Kerren, of Maple Valley, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Sam Rhea; and brother, Bill Rhea.
Funeral services were held March 27 at the Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Concluding services and burial followed at Tahoma Cemetery. Keith & Keith Funeral Home in Yakima, Wash., was in charge of arrangements.
