Randy G. James, of Kansas City, Mo., died March 29, 2009. He was born Nov. 17, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of O'Neil "Danny" James and Ezma Baker James.
He attended Center High School and later married Laura Hale. Together, they had two children. Randy was a marble fabricator in the marble industry, working 23 years for Carthage Marble.
Survivors include: his children, Sam and Rachel James of Kansas City, Mo.; his mother, Ezma James of Independence, Mo.; two sisters, Faye Slade and husband Leon of Independence, Mo., and Janice Foster and husband Jake of Viola; two brothers, Willie James of Odessa, Mo., and Frankie James and wife Monica of Kansas City, Mo.; brother-in-law, Norris Baker; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father; and his sister, Beverly Baker.
Services were held April 4 at the Elizabeth Church of Christ with burial following in Elizabeth Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
