Gladys E. Reeves, 87, of Cave City, Ark., died April 2, 2009, at her home.
She was born May 27, 1921, at Salem, Mo., the daughter of Albert Henry and Alice Beatrice (Cloak) Schmitt. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shepherd's Chapel in Gravette, Ark.
Survivors include: one son, Billy L. Reeves of Covington, Ga.; four daughters, Betty Maxine Naile of Benton, Joyce Lee Smith, Jean Marie Milligan and Shirley Ann Rothenberger all of Cave City; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a nephew, George Phillip Wright of Rolla; several other nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Lorenzo Dillon Reeves; one infant daughter; two brothers, George Schmitt and Albert Schmitt; one sister, Alma Blanke and one infant granddaughter, Christmas Eve Rutherford.
A visitation was held April 4 at Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Private interment services were held at the Eutopia Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
