Cherokee Village to remove debris

Thursday, April 16, 2009

The city of Cherokee Village has updated their debris removal schedule and would like to inform all residents of the upcoming removal scheduled.

Crews have completed their first pass in section one, from Sequoyah Ridge Road to the South entrance and East of Iroquois. Bucket truck crews will be following, beginning their work in section one on April 20. These crews will be removing hazardous trees and hangers.

It is important that all residents in section one have debris piled at the roadside if they want the city to pick it up.

The city is pleased to announce that all of the sections now have crews working. According to the figures, over 17,500 cubic yards of debris have been removed.

Any questions regarding the storm debris clean-up process can be directed to Cherokee Village City Hall at 870-257-5522.
